Ajoy Chakrabarty (* 1952) is an khyal and thumri singer of the Patiala gharana. He studied with Jnan Prakash Ghosh and Munawar Ali Khan, son of Bade Ghulam Ali Khan, the legendary maestro of the Patiala-Kasur gharana. He is notable for imagination and sensitivity to lyrics, coupled with his uncanny sense of rhythm. Ajoy Chakrabarty received the Sangeet Natak Akademi award in 2000 and the Padmashree in 2011.
